About The Position

The Project Management Specialist role focuses on developing projects from concept to completion, ensuring they stay on a productive path through careful analysis and effective communication. The specialist will implement and maintain organizational programs, work with stakeholders to review contracts, project cost accounting, and support overall project cost, schedule, and performance efforts. Tactical planning will be done using MS Office suite and regular interactions with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), clients, and project analysts. The role provides project management support to government clients, addressing the cost, schedule, and performance of new technology advancements, insertions, and capabilities. This includes support through the major capability lifecycle (development, procurement, deployment, implementation, and maintenance). Responsibilities include maintaining project spending plans, supporting budget submissions, creating and managing stakeholder task letters, generating briefing materials, memorandums, and annual stakeholder agreements, and providing strategic support for classified material and services. The specialist will coordinate with and brief functional Program Office and government SMEs on project status, performance, risks, and mitigations. The role emphasizes communication to ensure program goals are achieved and quality standards are met, offering resources for continuous growth and development.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in DoW project management
  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Project, and Visio
  • Experience reviewing or developing project scope documents, reviewing project deliverables, and financials
  • Ability to generate informational briefs and projects for clients, addressing key issues and challenges impacting expected project results
  • Ability to deliver comprehensive programmatic support by providing oversight on project schedules, including coordinating client meetings, researching, and assigning and tracking tasks in accordance with project requirements
  • Ability to assist with Configuration Management tasks and documentation reviews
  • Ability to collect, edit, and format weekly highlights and milestones in a fast-paced, multi-layered program office and display flexibility, initiative, and innovation in ambiguous and fast-paced situations
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in SAP and classified environments
  • Experience in developing or maintaining a project spend plan and stakeholder task letters
  • Experience working with or implementing new technologies within the DoW
  • Knowledge of government contracting and acquisition process
  • PMP Certification
