About The Position

The Project Management Office (PMO) Manager works closely with Senior Management to manage and prioritize the enterprise project portfolio and related project management functions. This role ensures the ongoing improvement and maintenance of the Bank’s project management policies and procedures, strengthens relationships between the PMO and business units, and serves as a resource for project management and business analysis expertise to support high-quality project delivery. In addition to overseeing the department, the PMO Manager may also serve as Project Manager for assigned projects.

  • Bachelor’s degree from a U.S. accredited educational institution in a banking-related field and five (5) years of work experience in banking, customer service, Information Technology (IT) or related industry, OR; High School Diploma (or equivalent) and ten (10) years of experience in banking, customer service, IT or related industry
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Project Manager or related work in the project management field
  • A history of proven success delivering complex or strategic enterprise-level projects
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required, or as a condition of employment to be satisfied within six months of hire
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Project and Office productivity suite software required
  • Must be able to operate basic office equipment (PC, typewriter, fax, copier and telephone) as well as new and emerging technology, including but not limited to smart phones, tablet devices, digital signage and monitors.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Program Management Professional (PgMP)® or Portfolio Management Professional (PfPM)® highly preferred
  • Experience in organizational change management highly preferred
  • Experience in Information Technology principles and concepts highly preferred
  • Experience in data analytics and/or business analysis preferred

Responsibilities

  • Fulfills the duties of a Project Manager for assigned projects
  • Manages vendor relationships, including PMaaS and project management resources, to support delivery capacity, coordination, and performance expectations
  • Identifies opportunities for training, professional development, and career advancement within the department
  • Evaluates project deliverables for quality, completeness, and alignment with expectations
  • Leads post-project review to share lessons learned and best practices
  • Proactively role model our bank brand personalities and build meaningful connections with employees, customers and vendors.
  • Leads by example and pursue excellence in all aspects of business
  • Leads the development and improvement of tools for managing work and tracking project status
  • Performs annual budgeting and expense tracking for the department
  • Assists with the development and reporting of enterprise strategic objectives and related strategic action plans
  • Manages project pipeline budgets and forecasts to align with organizational strategy and enterprise priorities
  • Ensures that the project pipeline and resource assignments are aligned with priorities set by Executive Management
  • Delivers assigned projects on time, within budget and with high quality
  • Oversees project and PMO audits to strengthen governance, compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
