About The Position

The Learning Project Management Lead manages all facets of project execution within the Humana Military Learning Strategy & Resources team from start to finish, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. This role involves designing, communicating, and implementing operational plans, monitoring progress, resolving issues, and coordinating resources to meet strategic learning and training objectives, including compliance with contractual training requirements. This role develops project schedules and forecasts, communicates with team members to secure resources and contributions for the project. The Learning Project Management Lead conducts meetings and prepares reports to communicate the status of the project, sets priorities, allocates tasks and coordinates project team to meet targets and milestones.
This position is created specifically to assist with Humana’s efforts to secure and, if awarded, transition into a new business opportunity. Please note that continued employment in this role is expressly contingent upon Humana’s receipt of the business opportunity and a satisfactory transition into the work. In the event Humana does not pursue the opportunity or determines that a timely and satisfactory transition cannot be achieved, employment may be subject to termination.

Requirements

• Our Government Contract Requires US Citizenship for this Position
• Bachelor’s degree
• 8+ years technical experience
• 2+ years project leadership experience, preferably in learning project management or strategic program management
• Strong communication skills with a focus on collaboration and stakeholder engagement
• Proven experience managing complex projects within regulated or healthcare-related environments preferred
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects
• Experience working with TRICARE, Veteran’s Affairs or government health care environments
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Self-provided internet service must meet the following criteria: At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.
• Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of learning strategy projects aligned with Humana Military’s goals and contractual obligations.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and forecasts to ensure timely completion.
• Monitor project performance and proactively manage risks, issues, and changes, ensuring minimal disruption.
• Facilitate effective communication across teams and stakeholders, including preparing and delivering project status reports.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to secure resources and expertise necessary for project success.
