About The Position

The Baker Hughes Internship Program is designed for students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree to gain hands-on work experience. Interns will receive first-hand insights into the processes, systems, and practices that ensure customer needs are met through flawless execution and the application of leading-edge technology. Participants will engage in focused training, team meetings, project work, and presentations, supported by a buddy and manager. The program also aims to familiarize interns with Baker Hughes' Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards, culture, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's level degree in Engineering, Technology, other STEM-related or business-related program.
  • Maintained a GPA grade greater than or equal to 3.0 out of 4.0 or the equivalent.
  • Fluent in oral and written English and have effective communication skills.
  • Able to relocate for the duration of the internship (locations vary).
  • Authorized to work in the United States and must maintain work authorization throughout their employment without requiring sponsorship by Baker Hughes, now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the development of project plans, timelines, and milestones in collaboration with project managers and teams.
  • Maintaining project documentation, including project charters, schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
  • Identifying potential project risks and assisting in developing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Preparing regular project status reports for project managers and stakeholders, highlighting progress, issues, and upcoming milestones.
  • Applying Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures in all situations to ensure compliance is maintained.
