About The Position

The Role Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. The SSNX program is seeking a Project Management Analyst to join the Ao (Operational Availability) team to support Supplier Studies. This is an opportunity to get involved at the beginning of a new submarine design and have influence over what will become the Navy’s premier attack submarine platform. This role will engage with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders to support supplier studies. Analytical skills and the ability to build strong relationships will be instrumental in optimizing our supplier network and ensuring the success of our projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 1 years of relevant professional experience
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working suppliers, Supply Chain and/or procurement
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of US Navy submarine systems, requirements and system integration
  • Project management experience and/or PMP certification
  • Ability to work independently and in groups
  • Above average skills with Excel and data analysis
  • Proven experience in creating and delivering presentations using PowerPoint
  • Experience with SAP
  • Be prepared to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
  • The position will requires individuals who are able to adapt and adjust to changing tasking
