This position participates in the overall management of the facility as a member of the Management Team. The role is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment and promoting a culture of safety awareness for all plant personnel. This includes actively ensuring that hazard analysis is effectively performed. The Project Maintenance Coordinator assists the Safety Program Director with oversight and implementation of the plant’s Safety Program, ensuring compliance with Tenaska EHS policy and local, state, and federal requirements. They work with plant safety committee members to implement EHS procedures, maintain plant records, and make EHS program key performance indicators visible. The role involves maintaining the plant’s Safety Procedures Manual, Environmental Manual, and Integrated Contingency Plan. Additionally, the position assists the Operations Manager with regulatory compliance efforts, ensuring timely and accurate reporting and administering training. The Project Maintenance Coordinator supports the Maintenance Manager in outage preparation, monitoring performance, and recommending corrective actions, acting as a point of contact for scheduling conflicts and reviewing schedule changes. They provide oversight and advice to the Operations Manager on water production, boiler chemistry, and cooling water treatment. The role also contributes to enhancing the plant's image as a good community and environmental neighbor and surveys industry news to ensure current best practices are incorporated. The position oversees audits and investigations of the EHS program, assists with EHS pre-planning for outages and projects, and completes special projects as required by the Plant Manager. Dependable, reliable, and predictable attendance is required, along with a valid, in-state motor vehicle operator’s license.
