This position is responsible for participating in the overall management of the facility as a member of the Management Team. The role involves ensuring a safe working environment, promoting safety awareness, and assisting with the implementation and oversight of the plant's Safety Program in compliance with Tenaska EHS policy and regulatory requirements. The coordinator will work with safety committee members, maintain plant records, and make key performance indicators of the EHS program visible. They will also assist the Operations Manager with regulatory compliance, reporting, and training, and support the Maintenance Manager in outage preparation, performance monitoring, and schedule management. Additionally, the role provides oversight and advice on plant water production, boiler chemistry, and cooling water treatment, and assists management in enhancing the plant's community image. The position requires staying current with industry and regulatory news, overseeing EHS program audits, and assisting with EHS pre-planning for maintenance outages and projects. Special projects as required by the Plant Manager will also be part of the responsibilities. Dependable, reliable, and predictable attendance is required, along with a valid, in-state motor vehicle operator’s license.
