About The Position

We are seeking a Project Lead I (Project Manager / PMP) to support the planning, coordination, and successful execution of moderate to complex business initiatives within a large public sector organization. This is an outstanding opportunity for an organized, collaborative project management professional who enjoys working across multiple business units while driving process improvements and organizational success. The ideal candidate is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with experience managing cross-functional projects, facilitating stakeholder collaboration, and delivering projects on time and within scope. PMP certification is required and must be clearly listed on your resume. Proof of certification may be requested.

Requirements

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, required.
  • Minimum three years of project coordination or project management experience.
  • Experience managing cross-functional or cross-divisional projects.
  • Strong experience developing project plans, timelines, milestones, status reports, and tracking deliverables.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience facilitating meetings and presenting information to leadership.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience identifying risks, managing issues, and supporting project resolution.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within large organizations or public sector environments.
  • Experience leading process improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of automation, artificial intelligence (AI), or digital modernization projects.
  • Experience with Microsoft Planner, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Visio, Power Automate, Power Apps, or similar project management and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with automation technologies and AI-supported business processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, milestones, and action item trackers.
  • Coordinate project activities across multiple departments and business units.
  • Gather business requirements and assist with business analysis and solution development.
  • Prepare project documentation, specifications, executive reports, dashboards, and status updates.
  • Monitor project progress, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Facilitate project meetings, document decisions, and ensure follow-up on action items.
  • Identify project risks and recommend mitigation strategies to maintain project momentum.
  • Build strong relationships with leadership, business stakeholders, vendors, and project teams.
  • Support process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and standardize project management practices.
  • Assist with quality assurance, compliance activities, and successful implementation of business solutions.
  • Promote collaboration, accountability, and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
