About The Position

This position is primarily responsible for the entire Sector Specific Project Finance Team/Staff (PFA, PA-TL and PA), they are assigned, to ensure accurate revenue recognition, administration and operational financial support and contract administration support on projects within the company. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.

Requirements

  • Must have a BA/BS and eight (8) years related experience, MA/MS and six (6) years related experience, or ten (10) years related experience.
  • Must be mentally and physically capable of performing all essential duties required of the position.
  • Must possess above average Microsoft Office suite skills.
  • Must be proficient with Adobe products, database management software and the Internet.
  • Must maintain positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally.
  • Must work equally well with all levels of management, clients, and employees.
  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to anticipate, understand and respond to the needs of internal and external clients.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising, managing and motivating team members daily to function in a goal-oriented manner.
  • Creating an inspiring and trusting team environment promoting the growth of team members with an open communication culture.
  • Formulating smooth team operations and effective collaboration.
  • Planning and scheduling workload and performance of team members.
  • Ensuring team is right-sized and right-skilled.
  • Interviewing and hiring team members.
  • Resolving team members’ feedback, issues or conflicts, escalating issues as needed.
  • Providing ongoing training and coaching to team members.
  • Setting goals, training plans, conducting performance development reviews, making pay decisions, handling termination, discipline, and staffing.
  • Recognizing high performance and rewarding accomplishments.
  • Coordinating team efforts to complete a timely month-end project review.
  • Meeting monthly to discuss and review active projects to ensure that the correct amount of revenue is recognized.
  • Assisting, in limited capacity, with month-end Project Review week.
  • Serving as Quality Control and reviewing all projects quarterly to identify issues.
  • Coordinating with Project Financial Analysts, Project Managers, Practice Leaders, Market Directors and Sector Leaders to resolve issues.
  • Maintaining lead point of contact for Finance and Finance Systems Director, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Sector Leaders for monthly reporting.
  • Maintaining publication of monthly reports to Finance and Finance Systems Director, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Sector Leaders and Market Directors with assistance from Project Financial Analyst - Team Leaders and Project Financial Analysts.
  • Staying up to date with Project Financial Analysts processes and responsibilities, attending all meetings with Sectors, Markets and company-wide.
  • Assisting, when and where needed, in annual Business Planning and goal setting, for Practice/Market/Sector.
  • Assisting Sector, Market and/or Practices with proposal rate development and XBE (minority) participation as needed.
  • Assisting with operational finance, profit and loss reporting and support, when needed.
  • Working with Project Accountant Team Leaders to build/maintain a strong financial support group.
  • Attending interviews for Project Accountant new hires, when applicable.
  • Focusing on corporate areas of operational financial support developing staff to become Subject Matter Experts (SME) on items such as best practices, labor, expenses, units, fee, revenue, etc. that strive to improve support, efficiency, and outcome.
  • Providing and assisting with operational financial support to all geographic offices.
  • Focusing on improving operations and maximizing financial return.
  • Increasing EBITDA margins by developing and providing timely, consistent, accurate Key Performance Indicators reporting through use of Power Bi, Reporting, Month-end summaries/packages, performing data analysis and forecasting to support operational investments and decision making.
  • Reducing loser projects – ensuring risk is properly managed/mitigated and properly accounted for and ensuring compliance with Federal/State regulations.
  • Identifying profit dollars on projects and making sure they are being reported on each project separately and accurately.
  • Sustaining and enhancing trust-built culture to retain and motivate top performers, attract new talent and acquisitions to support continued growth.
  • Maintaining the highest level of confidentiality as it relates to Operational Financial Information.
  • Providing and focusing on strong financial training and mentoring for all levels – from Tech to C-Suite – existing personnel to new hires to acquisitions and keeping all levels on track with best practices.
  • Working with Finance and Financial Systems Director to assist with the Acquisition Integration procedures and processes.
  • Assisting the Finance and Financial Systems Director yearly with Vision Strategy Pillars.
  • Assisting in company-wide marketing initiatives including building hourly rates and XBE (minority) participation information, etc.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
