Project Finance / Private Credit Attorney (NY / Chicago)
About The Position
KBRA (Kroll Bond Rating Agency, LLC) is seeking an experienced Attorney to join our Ratings Legal team in support of one or more teams working on project finance and structured-corporate transactions globally. This position can be located in either the New York or Chicago office. You will play an important role in the rating process, working primarily with KBRA’s Project Finance and Corporates ratings teams on a wide range of structured debt transactions. Key responsibilities will include reviewing project and financing documents, identifying the potential credit impact of transaction structures and deal documents, coordinating with rating analysts on relevant legal issues, participating in due diligence meetings, participating in rating committees, and supporting the analytical team with the preparation of KBRA’s market-leading rating and research reports.
Requirements
- Five (5) or more years of experience in Project Finance and/or Structured Finance.
- JD and Bar admission in the United States.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent research, analytical and organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as to collaborate with others in a collegial environment.
- Skill at working on multiple transactions simultaneously in an organized fashion and ability to meet deadlines.
