Project/Field Engineer
About The Position
Beaty Construction, Inc. is seeking a motivated, entry-level Project/Field Engineer to join our team. This position is ideal for a recent college graduate with a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field who is looking to begin their career in the heavy highway construction industry. This role offers the opportunity to build a career in construction heavy highway/civil project management and gain hands-on experience in both the field and office setting for projects across the state of Indiana. The position is primarily focused on field observations and onsite documentation of construction processes, with exposure to subcontractors, vendors, shop drawings, budgets, quality control, safety, and client coordination. The ideal candidate is interested in future leadership opportunities and responsibilities for managing construction projects.
Requirements
- strong organizational and time management, written and verbal communication, independence while functioning effectively as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Nice To Haves
- Internship or previous construction experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with day-to-day coordination, scheduling, documentation/tracking, and contract execution.
- Primarily focused on field observations and onsite documentation of construction processes.
