About The Position

The Project Estimator works closely with clients, project managers, and discipline engineers to develop total installed cost (TIC) estimates based on internal front-end loading (FEL) packages. The role focuses on small capital projects, typically up to $15 million, and includes developing bases of estimate, coordinating engineering inputs, and presenting estimates for review. The successful candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, creative, and collaborative, with an interest in developing additional project services skills such as cost controls, scheduling, and procurement.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience.
Background in engineering or construction.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree or higher.
Experience with Aspen In-Plant or Capital Cost Estimator.
Familiarity with scheduling methods and software such as P6 or MS Project.

Responsibilities

Develop TIC estimates for small capital projects, typically up to $15 million.
Develop bases of estimate for small capital projects.
Coordinate and present estimates to project teams, project managers, and clients for review.
Coordinate and organize multiple sources of engineering inputs into project estimating deliverables.
Participate in estimate kickoff meetings and internal and external review meetings.
Develop supplemental project services skill sets, such as cost controls and scheduling.
