About The Position

Operate TurboFab vehicles and industrial trucks on or off company premises to move, load, and unload materials and equipment. Equipment includes company trucks, large-capacity forklifts, cherry pickers, cranes, wheel equipment, crawlers, and heavy equipment such as Link-Belt and Manitowoc cranes. Check vehicles for proper and safe loading, follow correct loading and unloading procedures, ensure safe rigging, and plan yard lifts and execute load-outs. This supplemental position is located at the Solar manufacturing facility in Channelview, Texas. No relocation package is available.

Requirements

• Full knowledge of flagging and rigging.
• More than 5 years of working experience operating applicable industrial vehicles, from forklifts to overhead cranes.
• Ability and willingness to perform assigned tasks competently.
• Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to get along well with others.
• Successful completion of required pre-employment background, physical, and drug/alcohol screenings.

Responsibilities

• Comply with TurboFab environmental, health, and safety programs, regulations, and guidelines.
• Load and unload applicable vehicles as needed.
• Meet production schedules without compromising quality.
• Keep work areas clean and orderly and comply with housekeeping procedures.
• Complete assigned tasks using authorized documents and written or oral instructions.
• Ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
• Perform minor emergency vehicle maintenance as necessary.
• Train less experienced operators as needed.
• Check vehicles for proper and safe loading operations and ensure correct loading and unloading procedures.
• Ensure safe rigging, plan yard lifts, and execute load-outs.
