About The Position

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for project engineering to join our Project engineering team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada). You will be part of the Project Engineering team responsible for implementing the Airbus Canada Engineering Project Management vision and through the execution of the associated A220 change management processes and tools. The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively. Your role as Project Engineering will be to perform project management duties related to the configuration change management projects to develop the detailed engineering project plans. This will require interfacing with multiple functions inside and outside Engineering as well as interfacing with suppliers to obtain deliverable planning details among others.

Requirements

You have a degree in Engineering, Project management, or equivalent relevant experience
You have a minimum of 8 years of Engineering experience in Technical Project Management
You are versed in aircraft program development activities and have an understanding of configuration management, change management, Design Authorized Organizations (DAO) certification requirements
You have strong project management skills, you are able to establish priorities and align team members on priorities
You are resourceful and are able to find creative ways to achieve the desired outcome, while adapting to changing circumstances and new obstacles
You are a recognized leader, able to build and inspire a cross-functional team, while leading your team in a changing environment towards the objectives of the company
You are able to deploy continuous improvement initiatives
You have good oral and written skills in English and French
You are able to simplify complex issues and summarize risks, key actions and next steps
You have demonstrated your ability to work within a team composed of people with varied backgrounds and a different culture
You must also be a person with initiative, a strong sense of responsibility and sound engineering judgment
You have excellent interpersonal skills, able to develop relationships with internal stakeholders and influence external stakeholders
You are a good communicator and are able to listen, coach and guide employees
You are able to leverage your process knowledge and network to deliver on commitments and influence decisions to achieve the best possible outcome

Responsibilities

Implement the Airbus Canada Engineering Project Management vision and through the execution of the associated A220 change management processes and tools
Perform project management duties related to the configuration change management projects to develop the detailed engineering project plans. This will require interfacing with multiple functions inside and outside Engineering as well as interfacing with suppliers to obtain deliverable planning details among others
Identify risks and issues with the various projects assigned to you and report them into the system accordingly
For the specific function(s) to which you will be assigned, prepare recurring (weekly/Monthly) reporting of Project related deliverables for the A220 Engineering management team
Develop a network of colleagues within Airbus with whom to compare ways of working to define and apply Airbus standards and best practices
