About The Position

Another Source's client, Sabey Construction, Inc. (SCI), is recruiting a Project Engineer to join their team in Austin, TX. This is an opportunity to step into a hands-on role supporting the delivery of complex, high-impact construction projects in a rapidly growing market. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management , Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project workflows
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to learning and growth

Nice To Haves

  • 1–2 years of construction experience preferred
  • Familiarity with construction management and scheduling software preferred
  • MEP exposure or interest is a plus
  • Interest in leveraging emerging technologies, including AI tools, in construction workflows

Responsibilities

  • Supporting estimating and purchasing efforts, including development of bid packages and baseline schedules
  • Managing RFIs and coordinating responses with architects and engineers of record
  • Processing, tracking, and maintaining subcontractor and vendor submittals
  • Maintaining and distributing project plans, logs, and critical documentation
  • Coordinating special inspections and ensuring proper documentation and compliance
  • Assisting with building permits and jurisdictional requirements
  • Documenting weekly project meetings and tracking key action items
  • Reviewing subcontractor change orders for scope alignment and pricing accuracy
  • Providing field support to superintendents to ensure quality and contract compliance
  • Interfacing with clients, consultants, and trade partners to support project execution
