The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing electrical engineering projects from conception to completion. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, power, lighting, and effective communication skills. Project types include: Utilities, municipal infrastructure, marinas, agriculture, parks and recreation, site and roadway illumination, private power distribution, and more. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering or related field.
- Four years of relevant, post-graduate mechanical engineering experience
- Knowledge of the philosophies, principles, practices, and techniques of engineering
- Proficiency with digital tools, which may include Microsoft Office, GIS, BIM, or others
- Advanced interpersonal skills for facilitating relationships with colleagues
- Creative problem-solving skills to solve new and challenging problems
- Ability to mentor less experienced staff
- The selected candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future. We are unable to provide or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this role.
- Professional Engineering License Required.
Responsibilities
- Oversee construction projects to ensure they are completed according to the contract. This includes observing construction, reviewing and signing documents, and communicating with MSA staff, contractors, and clients.
- Communicates professionally with clients, contractors and builds ongoing business relationships
- Perform engineering calculations for the analysis, study, and design of specific project aspects.
- Utilize electronic tools such as GIS, models, BIM, for project analysis, study, and design.
- Assist in creating cost estimates for projects.
- Instruct technicians on drafting for the projects you design.
- Conduct field investigations or inspections ranging from visual observations to detailed measurements using specialized equipment.
