Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure (WI) is required
  • 4+ years of experience in mobility or transportation engineering
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD
  • Proven experience — or a strong interest — in project management and client engagement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts clearly
  • A collaborative mindset and eagerness to thrive in a consulting environment

  • WisDOT project experience is a strong plus
  • Engage in Construction Oversight (Bonus Skill): Apply construction management and field inspection expertise to monitor project implementation (a plus, but not required)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and Manage Projects: Oversee all phases of transportation projects — from scoping and budgeting to scheduling, QA/QC, and delivery
  • Cultivate Client Relationships: Build trust with existing and prospective clients through virtual and in-person meetings, clear communication, and consistent follow-through
  • Design Impactful Infrastructure: Develop innovative designs for roadways, bridges, trails, and other multimodal transportation facilities
  • Develop Technical Deliverables: Prepare construction documents, including detailed plans, technical specifications, and bid packages that set projects up for success
  • Navigate Regulatory Requirements: Prepare technical reports and secure permits, ensuring environmental and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support Proposal Development: Collaborate with the MSA team to review RFPs and contribute to compelling proposals that win work
  • Mentor and Grow Talent: Guide and support junior engineers and technicians, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative team environment
  • Engage in Construction Oversight (Bonus Skill): Apply construction management and field inspection expertise to monitor project implementation (a plus, but not required)
  • Communicate with the Public: Create and present compelling visual displays and messaging for public meetings and engagement efforts
