Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university (or equivalent)
  • Registration as a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Ability to travel to client sites and project locations as required.
  • Willingness to attend meetings outside of regular business hours when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed structural designs using industry-standard analysis and design software
  • Exercises judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation or modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Perform structural analyses, prepare reports, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates.
  • Review, prepare, and refine engineering designs, drawings, and technical documents.
  • Participate in project meetings, client discussions, and multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Conceptualizes the initial design approach for a major phase of a large project, or assumes overall responsibility for engineering work on a project of limited scope.
  • Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates engineering work involving conventional practices, which may include complex features such as conflicting design requirements.
  • Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Provides supervision of less experienced engineers or technical support personnel on an assignment basis (not as an ongoing substantial component of the role).
  • Attend site visits and on-site coordination meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support project and team needs.
