As our Project Engineer / Sr. Project Engineer (Civil) for our Civil Engineering – Site/Land Development team in Tucson, AZ, you'll play a key role in the planning and design of diverse projects across public, private, and institutional sectors. In this role, you'll collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver high-quality engineering solutions that support community growth and infrastructure development.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Arizona
5+ years of civil engineering experience in site development, infrastructure, or public works
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
Strong technical experience preparing reports, designs, construction documents, specifications, and calculations
Understanding of project scope, schedule, and budget management
Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

Lead design efforts for site development projects, including grading, roadway design, hydrology and hydraulics, utilities, and stormwater systems.
Organize and execute technical work across projects, ensuring quality, coordination, and alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
Prepare construction documents, plans, profiles, technical reports, calculations, cost estimates, and specifications.
Represent Psomas with clients, agencies, and contractors, supporting permitting and regulatory approvals.
Supervise, mentor, and support junior staff while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Participate in site visits, client meetings, and QA/QC processes to support project success.
