About The Position

As our Project Engineer / Sr. Project Engineer (Civil) for our Civil Engineering – Site/Land Development team in Tucson, AZ, you'll play a key role in the planning and design of diverse projects across public, private, and institutional sectors. In this role, you'll collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver high-quality engineering solutions that support community growth and infrastructure development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Arizona
  • 5+ years of civil engineering experience in site development, infrastructure, or public works
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Strong technical experience preparing reports, designs, construction documents, specifications, and calculations
  • Understanding of project scope, schedule, and budget management
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead design efforts for site development projects, including grading, roadway design, hydrology and hydraulics, utilities, and stormwater systems.
  • Organize and execute technical work across projects, ensuring quality, coordination, and alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Prepare construction documents, plans, profiles, technical reports, calculations, cost estimates, and specifications.
  • Represent Psomas with clients, agencies, and contractors, supporting permitting and regulatory approvals.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support junior staff while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Participate in site visits, client meetings, and QA/QC processes to support project success.
