This internship offers an immersive onboarding experience to understand construction management processes, tools, and company culture. Interns will gain real-world experience on active jobsites, engaging with subcontractors, design teams, owners, and working alongside Superintendents and Project Management staff. The program includes ongoing training, both on-the-job coaching and dedicated skill & program-based training sessions, including a summer-long practice problem. There are also opportunities to connect with other interns and employees through various events and activities.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred but not required.
• Comfortable with Excel; solid math and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented, with a track record of following through on tasks and hitting deadlines.
• Curious, coachable, and ready to learn on an active jobsite.

Responsibilities

• Be a vital member of the team, boots on the ground on a Bay Area jobsite.
• Work through challenges and problem-solve in real time; contributions and efforts count from week one.
• Live out the Cahill Core values by working closely with our Superintendents and Project Management staff.
• Gain first-hand experience with key construction management tools (Bluebeam, Procore, OPC, BIM), techniques, and processes, including RFIs, submittals, subcontractor management, site logistics, schedule, etc.
• Build practical skills that set you apart when you're ready to start your career in construction.
