NextGen Internship Program - Summer 2027

LED FastStart•Metairie, LA

About The Position

RNGD’s NextGen Summer 2027 Internship Program gives interns hands-on experience with project management and field operations on active construction projects. Project Engineer Interns work alongside experienced Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Superintendents, learning how projects progress from plans and schedules to execution. The program includes meaningful assignments, professional development and networking opportunities, collaboration with fellow interns on a special internship project, and ongoing coaching and feedback. Interns may take on greater responsibility throughout the summer and build familiarity with RNGD’s technology, processes, culture, and approach to construction. Interns support day-to-day project coordination, documentation, and project controls; gain experience with RFIs, submittals, drawings, schedules, meetings, and coordination with subcontractors, suppliers, and materials; and spend time in the field observing construction progress, quality, safety, logistics, and trade coordination. They may also assist with punch lists, inspections, closeout, milestone and delivery tracking, and other project-management activities based on project needs and their developing capabilities. The internship provides exposure to estimating, bids, procurement, buyout, scheduling, cost management, and the effects of design changes and field conditions on cost and schedule. The position requires working at an assigned RNGD office and/or project site for the duration of the Summer 2027 internship.
