About The Position

Wharton-Smith, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer Intern for its regional office in Charlotte, North Carolina. The intern coordinates with and assists the Project Engineer and Project Manager with planning, organization, and completion of projects within an assigned area of responsibility. Duties include reviewing project plans and contractor bids, helping maintain a safe and clean working environment, entering data, and assisting the Project Manager or Project Engineer with daily tasks. The position also contributes to team efforts by completing related work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with and assist the Project Engineer and Project Manager with project planning, organization, and completion within an assigned area of responsibility.
• Review project plans and confer with management.
• Review bids from contractors.
• Help maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Perform data entry.
• Assist the Project Manager or Project Engineer with daily tasks and duties.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
