About The Position

ECM Holding Company is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Development Engineer I in Wisconsin to join our team. This position requires 75% travel around the country. A Project Development Engineer I is a professional responsible for the design, implementation, and management of a building's mechanical systems to reduce energy costs or improve energy efficiency during the design, building, or retrofitting stages of construction. May specialize in water systems; electrical systems; heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems; green buildings; lighting; air quality; or energy procurement. This role bridges the gap between design concepts and on-site reality, ensuring that all mechanical systems are designed and installed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and building codes. As a Project Development Engineer I, you will be at the forefront of the green building revolution, transforming how structures consume resources by leading the design, implementation, and management of advanced mechanical systems optimized to drive down energy costs. This role is dedicated to energy conservation and plays a vital role in lowering the carbon footprint of our built environment through innovative engineering and strategic decarbonization across both new construction and complex retrofits. By bridging the gap between sustainable design concepts and on-site reality, you will ensure that every system—from HVAC to water management—operates at peak sustainability, ensuring all mechanical installations are safe, efficient, and in strict compliance with evolving energy codes and project specifications.
