About The Position

Battlefield Equipment Rentals (a division of Toromont Industries Ltd.), one of Canada’s premiere Construction Rental Companies, presently requires a Project Coordinator for our Saint John's location. The Project Coordinator operates as the direct liaison between our Battlefield Equipment Rentals & Jobsite Industrial Rental Services branches and our downstream industrial customers, and is a crucial position in developing and maintaining the relationships that are required to grow our business.

Requirements

  • Work the hours required to meet the demands of the position which may vary based on the demands of our customers;
  • Willingness to work primarily at customer's facilities;
  • Ability to clear customer site safety requirements daily;
  • Ability to report to and work at our rental branch, as required;
  • The ability to provide excellent customer and internal relations in a constantly-changing, fast-paced environment;
  • Experience in the construction environment, with some knowledge of construction equipment and products;
  • Strong written and verbal skills;
  • Experience in Microsoft applications, specifically: PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel;
  • Attention to detail and effective paperwork organization;
  • A self starter, with a keen sense of time-management and effective planning skills;
  • Good communication and people skills, and experience in speaking to audience of all sizes;
  • Ability to cater to customer and internal schedules, including possible after-hours requirements;
  • A clean driver's abstract;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop our business position with our customers to support the organizations collective interests by working closely with both of our brands; Battlefield Equipment Rentals and Jobsite Industrial Rental Services;
  • Receive and coordinate all customer on site rental needs;
  • Receive and process all inquiries;
  • Open and close all rental agreements;
  • Arrange freight for inbound/outbound equipment with support from our branch network;
  • Coordinate deliveries with our internal shunter;
  • Coordinate Quality Assurance service requirements with our service team;
  • Assist with Quality Assurance if applicable;
  • Coordinate and facilitate all related parts & service aspects of supporting our on-site fleet and service efforts;
  • Conduct regular monthly accounts receivable inquiries with customer;
  • Liaise and monitor spend and identifying when maximum Purchase Order values are reached or when variances are identified;
  • Be the liaison with branch operations for locating equipment as needed;
  • Work hours will vary based on the demands of our customer, their project and shut schedules;
  • Participate in on-call rotations for our down stream industrial customer, while supporting our Regional On-Call Program;
  • Participate in working at the rental branch when required;
  • Perform other duties as assigned
