About The Position

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Project Coordinator for the Inpatient Case Management Department. This position is full-time, 40 hours per week, day shift. This role includes responsibility for special projects involving technology project planning and coordination, process improvement initiatives, healthcare facility remodeling, and equipment planning. The Project Coordinator recommends procedural and workflow changes when appropriate, is responsible for assigned programs/initiatives, and performs training of inpatient case management administrative support, providing oversight of their workflow. The position also performs the Care Transition Assistant role when necessary, provides clerical and administrative functions, and maintains the progress and mutual interaction and tasks of various parties to reduce the risk of overall failure, maximize benefits, and restrict cost. Functions in one of the following practice settings: Hospitals only.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree
  • 2 years Case Management/Customer Service/Secretarial experience
