About The Position

EllisDon Furniture, Equipment and Design (“ED FED”) Project Coordinator will support the ED FED Project Managers (“PMs”) on existing and upcoming project works. This role involves collaborating with external project team members such as the Client/Owner, Consultants, Vendors and Trade Partners. The Project Coordinator will coordinate FFE requirements with the consultants’ construction documents and facilitate regular project team, Stakeholder and User Group meetings as required. This position will also assist with documentation administration, prepare and coordinate procurement documents, and coordinate with Vendors and Suppliers to source furniture and medical equipment options, develop specifications, budget pricing, and meet procurement timelines. The role includes planning and executing procurement activities between User Groups and potential vendors, tracking project goals and deliverables, and regularly reporting progress to the PMs. Additionally, the Project Coordinator will review site conditions pertaining to equipment and furniture, coordinate vendor installation, commissioning, and end-user training, collect and collate delivery waybills, commissioning and training documents, and create operation and maintenance manuals. The role requires working at the project site.

Requirements

  • Experience in project coordination related to medical equipment within a hospital or healthcare setting
  • A self-starter, resourceful and detail-oriented
  • Previous experience with equipment planning and coordinating projects
  • Skilled in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Project, PDF software
  • Able to independently represent the ED FED Team while exhibiting EllisDon core values
  • A champion of learning and process improvement
  • Entrepreneurial and willing to strive towards better project management processes within ED FED
  • Willing to complete security clearances (as required by Clients)
  • Organized and able to (re) prioritize tasks as needed with confidence
  • Have 5+ years of experience as a project coordinator

Nice To Haves

  • Educated in Biomedical, Nursing, Engineering and/or a similar field (all considered an asset)

Responsibilities
