About The Position

The Food Science and Human Nutrition Department in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is seeking applicants for a temporary project coordinator. This role will be responsible for following up on communication with Polymer and Food Protection Consortium (PFPC) members, tracking member projects, and tracking projects and deadlines from intake to completion. The Polymer and Food Protection Consortium at Iowa State University conducts industry-relevant research to develop innovative solutions that improve the design, safety, and functionality of materials used in packaging and industrial applications. Through a combination of fundamental and applied research, the consortium supports industry partners and actively drives knowledge and technology transfer to help address real-world challenges in packaging, materials performance, and food safety.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with plastic and polymer packaging testing
