About The Position

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our growing team! The Project Coordinator will support the execution of Corrosion Control projects focused on corrosion protection, inspection and testing services, and regulatory compliance initiatives. Typical projects may include Cathodic Protection Design, AC Mitigation Design, and Regulatory/Inspection Services. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, coordination, and supporting technical project teams in a collaborative environment. The Project Coordinator will play a key role in supporting project execution, tracking schedules and costs, and helping ensure projects remain aligned with scope, timelines, and client expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience in a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting or executing field-based project work preferred.
  • Interest in developing project management skills and experience.
  • Basic understanding of integrity management and/or pipeline-related work scopes preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and MS Project.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Support proposal and project setup activities.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and staffing plans throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with Equipment and Procurement teams to secure vehicles, tools, and equipment needed for project execution.
  • Assist with project cost tracking and reporting activities.
  • Coordinate with Accounting and Project Managers to gather and maintain accurate project cost information.
  • Track project schedule and cost performance for use in status reporting.
  • Maintain consistency in project reporting across service areas.
  • Support project reporting efforts utilizing Earned Value Management principles.
  • Assist with project closeout activities and lessons learned documentation.
  • Support field project kickoffs and collaborate with field teams as needed to better understand project scope, operations, and client needs.
  • Manage smaller projects from initiation through closeout with support from Project Management leadership, including: Proposal development, Budget and baseline schedule tracking, Project requirements coordination (operator qualifications, equipment, reporting, etc.), Client and internal status updates, Invoicing support, Deliverable coordination and project closeout.
