About The Position

Executive Millwork is Western Canada's premier commercial millwork shop with over 40 years of experience designing and building architectural woodwork for hospitality venues, public spaces, and complex commercial projects. The Project Coordinator will support Senior Project Managers in managing millwork projects from initiation to installation. This role acts as a liaison between clients, drafting and production teams, and the field, ensuring smooth project execution for projects of varying scales. This position is ideal for individuals with existing millwork, manufacturing, or construction experience looking to advance into a Project Manager role. The company seeks a candidate who can quickly adapt to a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Requirements

  • Project coordination experience in millwork, cabinetry, manufacturing, or commercial construction
  • Comfort reading shop drawings and architectural blueprints
  • Strong organizational instincts; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Solid computer skills (Bluebeam, MS Office etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, contractors, and the shop floor

Nice To Haves

  • Background in custom millwork, cabinetry, CNC, or architectural woodwork
  • Experience with LEAN or continuous improvement
  • Drafting or design exposure
  • Post-secondary education in construction, engineering, or a related trade

Responsibilities

  • Track project plans, schedules, budgets, and deliverables alongside the PM
  • Keep documentation organized including shop drawings, material lists, change orders, RFIs, approvals
  • Coordinate with production to ensure components are built and delivered on time
  • Run material takeoffs and match them against RFIs
  • Coordinate logistics for delivery, installation, and site visits
  • Identify potential issues early and assist in their resolution to prevent delays
  • Visit sites to verify progress and quality
