About The Position

The University of Mississippi, also known as Ole Miss, is a leading public research institution dedicated to fostering an inclusive community where students, faculty, and staff can thrive. We are seeking a Project Coordinator to join the NMYC team. This role will manage the coalition's work and program activities, including training, coalition communication, data collection, and information dissemination. The ideal candidate will possess advanced skills in project management, organization, and quantitative research and evaluation, with experience in managing teams and communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Possession of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an appropriate field (e.g., public health, psychology, social work, education).
  • Demonstrated abilities in project management and communication.
  • Demonstrated abilities in research methods and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated ability in budget management.
  • Experience in working on and managing teams.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with UM faculty and staff, community partners, funding agencies, and the public.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced skills in project management, organization, and quantitative research and evaluation.
  • Experience in and interest in contributing to public health efforts.
  • Diverse experiences and backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the work of the coalition and program activities, including training, coalition communication, data collection, and information dissemination.
  • Serve as a liaison to resolve problems and concerns.
  • Support the creation of project definitions, work breakdowns, rough order estimates, project plans, communication plans, and project schedules and specifications.
