About The Position

Detroit Recovery Project, Inc. (DRP) is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) that provides outpatient recovery support services for individuals experiencing substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. We treat the whole person through our integrated programs of primary medical and behavioral healthcare. Our program philosophy is rooted in developing a healthy recovery ecosystem for individuals seeking long-term recovery. Through strong therapeutic relationships with our clients and helping them understand the underlying social and emotional issues that drive substance use, the recovery ecosystem focuses on five key areas: Health & Wellness, Spirituality, Employment, Education/Training, Family & Recovery Support. Detroit Recovery Project is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator (Mobile Outreach & Clinic Operations) to oversee the daily operations of the Mobile Health Clinic and coordinate community outreach initiatives that expand access to healthcare services. This leadership role works collaboratively with medical providers, administrative staff, and community partners to ensure high-quality patient care, efficient clinic operations, and effective community engagement. The Coordinator will supervise outreach staff, manage operational workflows, support quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with regulatory and documentation standards. This position plays a critical role in strengthening connections between the community and integrated healthcare services through mobile clinic programming.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in guidance and counseling, psychology, social work, education, business or public health administration, or a related field required.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, collaborate across teams, and build strong working relationships with community partners.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential or sensitive information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and program management software.
  • Ability to successfully pass all pre-employment checks including drug-screenings.
  • Valid and unrestricted Driver’s License.
  • Reliable transportation with current automobile insurance meeting agency policy requirements.

  • Experience with Electronic Health or Medical Records systems (EMR/EHR) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead the daily operations of outreach programming and the Mobile Health Clinic, including managing schedules, staffing, and community requests.
  • Supervise, coach, mentor, and evaluate outreach staff to ensure performance standards and program goals are met.
  • Work collaboratively with medical and non-medical teams to ensure effective workflows that support both staff and participants.
  • Advocate for participants by coordinating referrals and connecting individuals to healthcare, behavioral health, and social service resources.
  • Support clinical service development and strengthen care team integration among Nurse Practitioners, Community Health Workers, Peer Recovery Coaches, and Case Managers.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Promote clinic services through outreach, education, and community engagement activities.
  • Address concerns or issues among staff or participants in a professional and diplomatic manner.
  • Develop and monitor operational workflows and implement continuous improvement processes to enhance clinic performance.
  • Generate reports on clinic performance and program outcomes and review reports prepared by direct reports.
  • Interpret and recommend updates to policies and procedures in alignment with federal, state, and county guidelines.
  • Participate in meetings, audits, and networking opportunities that strengthen community partnerships.
  • Support licensing, credentialing, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to CARF standards and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform duties of direct reports as needed in their absence and complete other responsibilities as assigned.
