About The Position

Infrastructure Ontario (IO) is seeking Project Coordinators to support its various major projects within Project Delivery. IO is an Ontario crown corporation focused on modernizing and maximizing the value of public infrastructure and realty. The Project Delivery Enterprise Team manages large, complex public infrastructure projects, including hospitals, highways, transit systems, and courthouses, often utilizing the public-private partnership (P3) model. This role involves supporting the delivery of these projects from procurement through to commissioning, providing technical and commercial support, and managing stakeholder relationships. The current project pipeline is valued at over $35 billion.

Requirements

  • A few years of hands-on experience with major projects in an owner representative, design consultant, or construction management role.
  • Relevant experience or education in Engineering, Project Management, Architecture or related discipline.
  • Experience with project budgets, schedules and technical requirements.
  • Presentation, consultation, negotiation, influencing and consensus building skills are required.
  • Demonstrated experience working with multiple stakeholders is required.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification or in the process of acquiring is an asset.
  • Experience negotiating claims, scope changes and other compliance and contractual items on major projects is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery on major projects using various Public-Private-Partnerships (P3) and alternative delivery models.
  • Provide technical and commercial support to the management of projects, from pre-transaction, Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and Request for Proposal (RFP) stage through to construction and commissioning.
  • Support the development and implementation of risk mitigation measures specific to commercial and contractual matters.
  • Support the negotiations of claims, scope changes and other compliance and contractual items.
  • Support the management of relationships with various groups of internal and external stakeholders.
