The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a temporary, part‑time Project Coordinator (approximately 20 hours per week for a 6‑month assignment ) on our Professional Membership Awards team, supporting programs based out of our National Center office in Dallas, TX. The preferred candidate will be based in Dallas and will be able to work on-site one day per week. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the implementation of member recognition programs at the Association’s scientific meetings, including scholarships, travel grants, awards, and lectures targeted at recognizing excellence in early career investigators, clinicians, researchers, students, and other professionals. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of administrative and/or project coordination experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem solving, project management, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to manage competing priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Business, OneDrive, Adobe Acrobat Pro, SharePoint, and competency using Excel spreadsheets.
  • Ability to learn new software applications as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Some college or BA in Communications, Business, Marketing, or related areas

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor project timelines, communicating project needs and status updates effectively.
  • Monitor and respond to internal and external communications related to awards.
  • Prepare, process, and track award-related correspondence, documentation, and support requirements.
  • Assist with execution of award selection committee meetings.
  • Maintain accurate data and tracking for award program logistics and implementation.
  • Support the manager with coordination related to award budgets, vendors, and presentation logistics.
  • Support marketing, communication, and fulfillment efforts for scientific meetings and other initiatives as assigned.
