About The Position

This role involves providing accurate estimates to contractors and collaborating with key suppliers and internal associates to ensure the right products are delivered at the right time and in the right place. The Project Coordinator/Junior Quotes will check project requirements, scope, and objectives for efficient and profitable management. They will liaise with internal and external stakeholders, manage purchase orders rigorously, monitor project progress, and address issues as they arise. The position also involves following up with customers to ensure satisfaction and negotiating prices and terms with suppliers. Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge of product lines and improving business skills are also key aspects of this role. Requirements

  • Experience with project coordination and estimating in the construction industry.
  • Understanding of the dynamics of supplier relationships.
  • Good knowledge of our product lines.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and negotiating skills.
  • Self-reliant, well-organized and good at prioritizing.
  • Dynamic, proactive person known to be adaptable and to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide contractors with accurate estimates.
  • Work with key suppliers and internal associates to provide the right products at the right time in the right place.
  • Check the requirements, scope, and objectives of each project to ensure that it is managed efficiently and profitably.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to identify and meet project requirements.
  • Rigorously manage all aspects of purchase orders: documentation, communication, fulfillment and billing.
  • Monitor the progress of projects and deal with problems as they arise (flag and escalate to management if necessary).
  • Follow up with the customer to guarantee the brand promise and a delivery that meets the needs of the project.
  • Negotiate prices and conditions of sale with suppliers in the best interests of the customer, while respecting acceptable margins.
  • Establish, develop and maintain strong business relationships with customers.
  • Keep technical knowledge of product lines up to date and stay abreast of new developments in order to respond effectively to customers’ needs.
  • Demonstrate a keen interest in improving business skills.
