About The Position

Philadelphia Corporation for Aging (PCA) is seeking a Project Coordinator Intern to support the development of its Community Cafe pilot program. This program aims to provide eligible older Philadelphians with free, nutritious meals at participating restaurants, thereby increasing access to healthy food and fostering social engagement. The intern will be instrumental in program development, focusing on recruitment, relationship building with restaurants and community groups, providing technical assistance, managing data, and conducting surveys. The initial target area for this program is the Tacony section of the city.

Requirements

  • Current graduate student or recent Master’s level graduate.
  • Outstanding project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a variety of tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong usage of technology and software.
  • Demonstrated experience in data management and analysis, outreach, and relationship building.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Reliable vehicle and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of project policies and materials for PCA, restaurants, and participants.
  • Create a targeted marketing plan to reach underserved older adults.
  • Recruit and onboard restaurants, including contracting, menu development, and relationship building.
  • Build relationships with community groups to support participant recruitment.
  • Conduct community-based participant registration and onboarding with participant materials and technology.
  • Provide technical assistance for restaurants and participants throughout project.
  • Monitor project goals and outcomes.
  • Conduct post-project surveys with restaurants and participants.
  • Data management of information collected via registration, surveys, software systems, etc.
  • Evaluate and analyze data for intended outcomes.
  • Contribute to project report for PCA leadership.
