About The Position

CSC Event Coordinator Interns will have the unique opportunity to learn and assist the industry leaders with the development and execution of events that prioritize safety and exceptional guest experience. Program participants will also have the unique opportunity to train and learn CSC’s foundational knowledge while working with clients like the University of Utah, Eccles Theater, and more. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in event operations, staffing coordination, and venue management.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer operation and Microsoft Office Products.
  • Ability to maintain positive client and customer relationships while working effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, employees, applicants, customers, and organizations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and make sound decisions.
  • Walking significant distances, including and down stairs, as required to roam throughout the venue.

Nice To Haves

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Sports Administration, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in event management, sports, hospitality, customer service, security, recruiting, or leadership is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning and execution of events to ensure a safe, professional, and exceptional guest experience.
  • Support event staffing by assisting with recruiting, interviewing, scheduling, and workforce coordination.
  • Assist with event logistics, including equipment setup and breakdown, uniform distribution, radios, credentials, and event-day materials.
  • Help coordinate employee training sessions and support branch training initiatives.
  • Perform administrative duties, including data entry, correspondence, meeting coordination, supply management, and general office support.
  • Provide on-site event support and assist managers with staff supervision when needed.
  • Build positive relationships with clients, employees, and event staff while representing CSC professionally.
  • Complete additional projects and assignments as directed by CSC management.
