This role manages a book of active customer orders that consists primarily of quick-turn, transactional work, with a primary focus on ensuring production testing is completed on time. The position manages the flow of work within or between departments and provides the level of customer engagement required by type of project and specific customer to ensure the customer's needs and expectations are met. The Project Coordinator acts as a customer service representative and focuses on creating a positive customer experience.

Requirements

  • 1 - 3 years' experience.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Must be organized and practice time management.
  • Must have strong communication skills to work with different internal partners and customers.
  • Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.
  • Basic MS office skills.
  • Basic skills in prescribed internal tools (scheduling, ERP, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Primarily repeat work (operations as opposed to projects).
  • Usually minimal customer interaction required due to quick timing of testing.
  • Communication typically limited to confirmation of receipt/testing (CRD) initiation and test completion (PDD).

Responsibilities

  • Takes complete ownership of projects within book of business, including fulfilling commitments and customer needs.
  • Delivers projects to operations in a timely manner to ensure schedule commitments can be met (CRDs and PDDs).
  • Ensures projects are completed on-time.
  • Provides customers with the expected amount of communication.
  • Coordinates the flow of work through the facility with Customers and Department Managers.
  • Consistently uses the best practices of project coordination.
  • Establishes collaborative and mutually supportive relationships with those responsible for operations.
  • Strives to make operations successful.
  • Ensures production tests are completed on-time.
  • Works with operations to expedite testing through the facility.
  • Follows standard practices and procedures in managing order book.
  • Builds productive internal and external working relationships.
  • May be responsible for billing of projects.
  • Proactively manages planned subcontracted work (i.e: IJOs and non-EUSSD subcontractors) including setting expectations with the subcontractor and monitoring subcontractor progress.
  • With assistance, able to manage unplanned subcontracted work.
  • Is primary point of contact for customer questions.
  • Communicates schedule changes to the customer.
