About The Position

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking a Project Controls SME-03 to support the Savannah River Site in Aiken, South Carolina. The role provides project-controls subject matter expertise and guidance to management and technical teams on classification requirements, compliance, the CD process, and deliverable formats. The position also reviews and provides input on engineered-equipment specifications and subcontracts, estimates, schedules, risk-informed milestones, constructability and commissioning considerations, and project-controls documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree; candidates who do not meet the education requirement may be considered based on additional relevant experience.
• Fifteen years of experience in engineering, construction, operations, estimating, scheduling, project controls, proposal development, and/or project management.
• Five years of experience demonstrating knowledge of the desired subject-matter expertise area.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Working knowledge of applicable federal requirements, including Department of Energy Orders, and state and local codes and standards for project controls.

Responsibilities

• Advise management on classification requirements, compliance, the CD process, and deliverable formats.
• Review and provide input to specifications for engineered equipment and subcontracts.
• Advise estimators on the labor and other-than-labor resources needed to perform the scope of work.
• Provide schedulers with input on activity sequence, durations, and logic.
• Advise management on risk-informed schedules used to establish milestones and PBIs.
• Provide engineers, estimators, and schedulers with input on constructability, maintainability, operability, and commissioning.
• Provide technical writers with input for BOEs, BOS, and the WBS data dictionary.
