About The Position

S&B is currently searching for a Project Controls Manager responsible for leading the planning, scheduling, auditing, cost control, risk (contingency/escalation) management, and reporting functions across EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction)/Alliance projects. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with contractual and organizational requirements. The manager provides leadership to the project controls team and works closely with project managers, engineering, procurement, subcontracts and construction teams. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Finance, or related field, or equivalent years of experience.
Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in project controls within EPC/Alliance or large-scale industrial projects.
Strong expertise in cost engineering, scheduling (Primavera P6), earned value management, and risk analysis.
Proficiency with project controls software (EcoSys, Prism, SAP, Primavera, MS Project, Omega 365).
Deep understanding of EPC/Alliance contracts (lump sum, cost reimbursable, unit rate) and financial controls.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing project controls teams.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary project environment.
Ability to read and write in the English language.
Basic mathematical skills required.

Responsibilities

Plans, schedules, coordinates and oversees the work of all Project Controls personnel.
Lead the development and implementation of project controls strategies, procedures, and tools for EPC/Alliance projects.
Oversee planning, scheduling, cost management, risk analysis, and change management activities.
Establish and maintain the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS), and project coding structures.
Ensure accurate cost forecasting, trend analysis, and earned value reporting.
Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, resource loading, and progress tracking.
Manage monthly reporting cycles and produce executive-level project performance dashboards.
Facilitate change management processes, evaluating cost and schedule impacts of scope changes and variations.
Work with project managers to identify risks and opportunities, ensuring proactive mitigation strategies.
Coordinate with contracts, procurement, and finance to ensure alignment of cost and schedule reporting.
Provide leadership and mentoring to project controls staff (cost engineers, schedulers, auditors, planners and risk analysts).
Contribute to continuous improvement of project controls standards, tools, and best practices across the organization.
Represent project controls in client and executive meetings, ensuring transparency and credibility of project performance data.
