The Project Controls Cost Engineer will provide preconstruction support during the project approval phase, including historical cost data and assistance in developing annual contractor purchase orders. This role involves managing internal and external project budgets and communications within project management software, handling commitment and change management, and document control. The engineer will also manage monthly forecasts and cash flows, analyze forecast variances, and develop monthly executive reports. Performance and productivity reports, variance analysis, and accurate monthly accrual reporting for purchase orders are key responsibilities. The role also includes facilitating change order routing and review processes, reviewing project financial health with management, and collaborating with the Site Scheduler to align financial forecasts with schedule updates. Maintaining various logs (TVD, Change, Risk) and tracking vendor and personnel hours for database creation are also part of the duties. The Project Controls Cost Engineer will be responsible for producing cost reports for projects ranging from $5M to $900M for clients.
