About The Position

Saber Power Services, a portfolio company of Greenbelt Capital Partners, is a fully integrated electrical power system services firm providing end-to-end solutions across utility, renewables and battery storage, industrial, petrochemical, and other markets. Based in Houston, Texas, Saber Power offers deep subject matter expertise and uses an engineering-led approach to designing, installing, testing, and maintaining medium and high-voltage electrical infrastructure. Saber serves clients locally, nationally, and abroad. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Controls Coordinator to support project managers and PMO operations. This role is responsible for data entry, cost tracking, milestone billing, reporting, and auditing project documentation. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and collaborative energy to help ensure that projects stay on track financially and operationally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience may be a substitute for formal education.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a project support role, ideally within EPC or construction environments is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications such as PMP, CAPM, or CCP are a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6 is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Enter project data into business systems (e.g., BC) for accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Assist in preparing and distributing project performance reports for stakeholders.
  • Compare budgeted vs. actual costs and identify variances.
  • Support billing processes by aligning milestones with financial systems and PM deliverables.
  • Monitor large equipment procurement and shipping dates in collaboration with the procurement team.
  • Audit project folders to ensure all documentation is complete and compliant with PMO standards.
  • Support internal and external audits with data and document retrieval.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) including budget adherence, schedule, and resource allocation.
  • Update schedules and procurement timelines and support project forecasting efforts.
  • Work closely with project managers, procurement, finance, and engineering teams.
  • Assist in the development of project documentation, presentations, and financial summaries.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested by management.
