About The Position

The Project Buyer will manage purchasing activities for electronics, including components, circuit boards, enclosures, materials, and outside services for a client that manufactures embedded ruggedized electronics, computer boards, computer systems, and ethernet switches used in industrial, medical, military, and scientific applications. This position will act as the main point of contact for purchasing-related issues for this product line and will work closely with manufacturing, sales, engineering, document control, suppliers, and local/offshore contract manufacturers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement or buyer/planner work
• Ability to manage purchase order schedules, supplier communication, push-outs, pull-ins, ship dates, and production-related updates
• Experience working cross-functionally with manufacturing, sales, engineering, suppliers, and document control teams
• Proficiency with Spreadsheets
• Experience in an ISO 9000 environment

Nice To Haves

• Experience in an electronics manufacturing environment strongly preferred
