About The Position

Press Ganey is seeking experienced Project Associates—contracted, project‑based nursing leaders with proven Magnet or PTE expertise—to support health systems in achieving nursing excellence. Project Associates work on a project‑to‑project basis, paid only when engaged. This is a flexible, contract role with no minimum hours or benefits, ideal for seasoned Magnet/PTE experts looking to apply their experience across multiple organizations. The expected hourly rate for this position ranges from $52 to $80 per hour. Engaged by 97% of Magnet-designated hospitals, Press Ganey combines deep nursing expertise with industry‑leading data platforms to streamline the Magnet and PTE process, accelerate improvement, and turn organizational aspirations into reality.

Requirements

  • Active RN license
  • BSN required
  • Minimum 5 years as a Magnet or PTE Coordinator/Director with a proven track record of achieving designation or redesignation.

Nice To Haves

  • MSN preferred
  • Demonstrated excellence in leading organizations through Magnet or PTE designation or redesignation.
  • Designing or evolving shared governance structures and professional practice models.
  • Writing and refining Magnet narratives and exemplars with strong editorial skill.
  • Conducting Magnet/PTE gap assessments, developing roadmaps, and leveraging NDNQI, RN satisfaction, and patient experience data relative to Magnet standards.
  • Preparing organizations for ANCC site visits, including conducting mock surveys.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive Magnet/PTE gap assessments, evaluating culture, structure, processes, and data against ANCC standards.
  • Supporting Engagement Managers in maintaining project plans, tracking milestones, and participating in virtual/on‑site meetings with nursing leadership and stakeholders.
  • Providing document writing support, including narrative development, exemplar refinement, and alignment with Magnet/PTE standards.
  • Delivering training and education, such as Magnet/PTE bootcamps and document development seminars.
  • Participating in mock site‑visit activities to prepare clients for ANCC appraiser evaluations.
  • Supporting other Magnet- or PTE‑focused project needs based on client priorities.
