About The Position

Works under the direction of the Regional Director providing coordination support of State projects and programs, including Regional Council. Works as part of a project team. This position will require in-office presence. Hybrid work schedules may be possible based on specific job duties and consistent with ESD policy. Requirements

  • College degree
  • One to three years’ relevant experience in a corporate office environment
  • Work as part of a project team
  • Highly organized
  • Strong communication skills – both oral and written
  • High competency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook & PowerPoint)
  • Occasional evenings and weekend work

Responsibilities

  • Assist in response to inquiries, address concerns, and explain ESD programs and services to companies, organizations, and regional stakeholders both solicited and unsolicited
  • Assist with relationship management among IDA’s, Chambers, municipalities, and other key economic development agents and assist them with client servicing and business outreach
  • Assist with inter- and intra-agency coordination, intergovernmental coordination, and external organizations to manage, and close projects
  • Assist with preparing project origination materials, board materials, PACB letters, Grant Disbursement Agreements, closing documents and other required documentation for Southern Tier projects as needed
  • Coordinate, attend, and report on project public hearings as assigned by Regional Director
  • Generate project profiles and maintain project tracking database and other internal tracking systems
  • Assume a variety of Department-wide responsibilities as assigned, such as managing office supplies, orders, equipment, Regional Director meeting schedule, conducting research, ensuring compliance with funding requirements, and properly managing confidential information
  • Prepare timely, accurate reports, spreadsheets regarding program information as required for ESD, Regional Office and Regional Council
  • Assist in administering Regional Council and Consolidated Funding Application projects within region
  • Assist with management and/or support special projects, events, and meetings as determined by Regional Director.
