About The Position

Ballard Spahr LLP seeks to hire a project assistant for the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Housing Finance practice group in the Baltimore office. The project assistant will collaborate with lawyers, legal administrative assistants, paralegals, closing coordinators, and legal support assistants within the practice group to provide timely, high-quality support. This hybrid position offers a work schedule of 3 days a week in the Baltimore office.

Requirements

  • 2-year college degree or relevant work experience as a legal administrative assistant or closing coordinator, preferably with a title company, mortgage company, law firm or other firm providing services to borrowers, lenders, or mortgage companies.
  • Intermediate level with Microsoft Office, document management, and time-keeping systems is required.
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills are essential to be successful in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with file management and deal logistics.
  • Draft loan documentation.
  • Review due diligence.
  • Assemble closing documentation.
  • Assist with closing and post-closing reviews and deliveries to various parties.
  • Perform additional administrative functions as required.
