Project Architect - K-12 Education Design

About The Position

Renaissance Architecture is seeking an experienced Project Architect to help establish and grow a team in Tulsa. Working with a current team based in Oklahoma City, this role offers the opportunity to lead and mentor emerging talent and contribute to K-12 educational environments. The position involves participation in all phases of design, coordination with external consultants and subconsultants, construction administration, and periodic construction-site observation.

Requirements

Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).
Architecture licensure, or progress toward licensure.
7–10 years of experience.
Prior experience with K-12 or education facilities.
Experience in all phases of project design, construction documentation, and construction materials.
Experience coordinating multiple design disciplines to develop complete documents.
Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, building structures, and engineering systems.
Proficiency in Revit and experience with AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

Participate in all phases of design, including Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documentation.
Establish factual parameters for design work, including codes, site restrictions, budget, and schedule constraints; identify building-system options and related performance and cost criteria.
Adhere to project schedules and budgets.
Collaborate with external consultants, including MEP, structural engineering, and civil/landscape consultants, as well as subconsultants.
Perform construction administration duties, including responding to RFIs, reviewing and approving submittals, and issuing bulletins.
Conduct periodic on-site observations during construction to monitor compliance with construction documents.
Prepare client project presentations, studies, and reports as needed.
Mentor less experienced staff and support their learning throughout projects.
