About The Position

MHTN Architects is seeking a Project Architect for its collaborative, multidisciplinary design studio in Salt Lake City, Utah. The role is suited to licensed architects and experienced architectural professionals working toward or interested in pursuing licensure, typically with approximately six or more years of architectural experience. The position contributes throughout project delivery, from design and documentation through consultant coordination and construction-phase services. The Project Architect leads defined portions of larger projects, works directly with clients, supports multidisciplinary coordination, and collaborates with Project Managers, Principals, and other team members. The role offers opportunities to contribute to projects across a range of types and market sectors while developing broader project leadership experience. This is a full-time, salaried, overtime-exempt position. MHTN offers a flexible hybrid schedule, with remote work available up to two days per week; long-term remote work is typically not feasible because of in-person project responsibilities, collaboration, client engagement, and professional-development opportunities. The position may require frequent local travel during the normal workday and occasional overnight travel. Candidates outside the Salt Lake City area may apply, and relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate. MHTN is an Intermountain West architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, and planning firm established in 1923. It serves clients in higher education, commercial, K–12 education, healthcare, manufacturing, civic, cultural, and religious sectors. The company describes its culture as collaborative and committed to design excellence, technical excellence, social and environmental responsibility, teamwork, empowerment, respect, and service.
