About The Position

We have openings in our New York office for project leaders with a passion for thoughtful, forward-thinking design. The ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Architecture or Interior Design. This role requires 10+ years of New York-based project management experience at an architectural or interior design firm working on large commercial office, mixed-use, civic, academic, cultural, or other complex projects. The candidate will be responsible for managing project teams, creating project proposals and fees, reviewing contracts and invoices, and interfacing with clients. The ability to lead multiple projects independently as well as collaborate on larger-scale projects is essential, along with the capacity to balance demands on multiple projects at various stages of development. A strong understanding of building systems, sustainability requirements, accessibility, and code compliance is needed to develop unique and engaging solutions tailored to the client’s vision and project requirements. Strong technical knowledge of Type I, Type II construction, construction detailing, building materials, and systems is required. Experience in LEED documentation and certification, space programming, space planning, workplace strategy, entitlements, planning approvals, and other relevant facets of commercial architecture and planning is desirable. Design and documentation experience using Revit is required. The ideal candidate is a licensed Architect in the State of New York. Qualities desired to excel in this role include an ability to be facile at problem-solving, strong presentation and communication skills. An aptitude for strong design and an ability to lead teams in a collaborative environment are also sought and valued.
