About The Position

Little, a nationally recognized "Best Firm to Work For" and one of the nation’s most progressive design firms, is seeking a Project Architect with a passion for impacting lives through high-quality healthcare design and a positive, collaborative work style, for its expanding Healthcare Studio in its Orlando, FL Office. The individual selected for this opportunity will be working with clients on projects of varying size and scope, with the opportunity to work with a team dedicated to advancing breakthrough ideas through design. The types of work include any solutions our clients may need, such as interior fit outs, renovations, equipment/infrastructure replacements, and ground-up projects. Project types include, but are not limited to, master planning, interiors, ambulatory healthcare centers, diagnostics & specialty care, all levels of acute care medical hospitals, and behavioral health. This position will require a team member that listens to clients and team members while leading projects confidently; one that has a growth mindset, positive attitude, and looks forward to expanding influence within the team and industry.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience with depth in Healthcare design.
  • Architectural license required.
  • Strong Autodesk Revit proficiency.
  • Thorough knowledge of architectural design, detailing, codes, and building material characteristics.
  • Thorough understanding of industry standards and building codes, including MEP design and medical equipment requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple team members, consultant groups and stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand the client and various stakeholders’ vision and key factors for project success.
  • Ability to travel as projects require.
  • High level of leadership skills.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Working with clients on projects of varying size and scope.
  • Advancing breakthrough ideas through design.
  • Handling interior fit outs, renovations, equipment/infrastructure replacements, and ground-up projects.
  • Working on projects including master planning, interiors, ambulatory healthcare centers, diagnostics & specialty care, all levels of acute care medical hospitals, and behavioral health.
  • Listening to clients and team members while leading projects confidently.
  • Mentoring and teaching construction detailing.
  • Coordinating with consulting partners and managing many moving parts to deliver a solid, final product.
  • Collaborating with multiple team members, consultant groups and stakeholders.
  • Understanding the client and various stakeholders’ vision and key factors for project success.
  • Traveling as projects require.
  • Leading projects to deliver a great product to clients.
